ladle. love. repeat.
When local firefighters were pressed into service after the 9/11 attack, Leslie Lampert brought her home made soups as a small gesture of gratitude. As word spread about how delicious they were, she began receiving calls for orders. And so an unexpected business was born.
The Love Brand became a reality when Ladle of Love opened its first shop on South Moger Ave in Mt Kisco in 2003. In its first year, Ladle of Love received the Best of Westchester Award
and many accolades in the 15 years since.
As the first consciously-sourced take-out food shop in Westchester specializing in small batch production, Ladle of Love quickly grew its menu to include soups, stews, salads, sandwiches, snacks and suppers. Shortly thereafter, Love On The Run Catering followed.
In February, 2017, Leslie and her son and daughter-in-law, Alex and Jennifer Lampert, became proud partners of the Bronxville community at their little shop with big heart on Palmer Ave—across from New York Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital.
We support many initiatives that nourish our neighborhoods: Jennifer is an active board member of the Bronxville Chamber of Commerce, Leslie was recently elected to the Westchester Medical Center Foundation Board of Directors, and Ladle of Love is proud to be the exclusive culinary team at The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester, cooking up more than 1,200 healthful, hot meals a week.
The tenet of our company has always been to care for the community. We've donated food to our neediest, underwritten catering for charitable fundraisers, trained budding cooks, spoken out for local causes, and given a chance or a chowder to someone who needed special consideration.
Our team and community of food purveyors and artisans share a collective pride in excellence and integrity in
This philosophy of selective sourcing is the foundation for contemplative food and catering that is both exceptional and value-conscious.
